My friend grew up in Mexico, he lives here now. He drives a truck - TopicsExpress

My friend grew up in Mexico, he lives here now. He drives a truck that is nice, not new, and its decked out with accessories, lights. To be honest, it does resemble the same upgrades that are consistent with Hispanic culture. A month or so ago, he was pulled over by SC Highway patrol and the reason for stopping him was his lights in his grille. He received a warning for the lights and a ticket "fine" for not having a VALID drivers license. My brother used to be on the Highway Patrol and says the lights in the grille of my friends truck are not against the law...its been some time since he was not a Trooper, so this might have changed. However, if it is not against the law, how can the stop by the SCHP be anything other than harassment or extortion? Even by "law" , how is the stop "legal" by Constitutional rights and the "fine" for INVALID drivers license enforceable? This has got to stop and should not be condoned or perpetuated. The State is not here to protect or to equalize society. It is harassment, it is extortion, it is immoral, the State is more dangerous than the worst mafia in history. People need to open their eyes, its not just different ethnic groups being targeted, every ticket is nothing less than racketeering.
