My friend sent me this article on diabetes. Made me tear up a little, from validation. Im alive, I can walk and breathe and use my arms, but yes, its pretty much a nightmare. I have type I like the man who wrote the article and type II, which involves insulin resistance, which means that the insulin doesnt work normally or in a way we can predict. When I try to have better numbers, I have severe hypoglycemic episodes frequently, and I do have hypoglycemic unawareness which means I often dont know until Im blacking out. Ive fallen down the stairs, Ive greyed out and fallen in stores... This is why Im doing the gastric bypass. We dont know what will happen after the surgery to the type I component of the diabetes I have, but the type II will probably go away. huffingtonpost/riva-greenberg/type-1-diabetes_b_4869238.html
