My friendly political reminder (Part 2) to students and teenage - TopicsExpress

My friendly political reminder (Part 2) to students and teenage friends: When we watch any political video-clip, especially the Occupy Central campaign, recorded by authoritative OR professional OR unknown sources of people, including the HK ethnic minorities or the ethnic Chinese, etc., we MUST have a critical mind and MUST be vigilant and careful of all the contents and hidden agenda of the video-clip: (1) Who/ What political group/ What organization/ What kind of people did they make the political video-clip? (2) What is the general background of these people who made the video-clip? (3) What is/ are the perspective(s) included in the video-clip? Is the positive side, the negative side, both sides or multiple sides of the issue included in the video-clip? (4) Why did these people make the video-clip? Do they want to make people be aware of the current affairs and the public safety of HK? Or do they intend to make you believe their viewpoint that pro-Occupy Central is good and anti-Occupy Central is bad? Or reversely do they intend to make you believe that pro-Occupy Central is bad and anti-Occupy Central is good? Or do they intend to make you believe that the pro-Occupy Central protesters are good guys or bad guys? (5) Who is supporting the pro-democracy movement in the video-clip (if you understand the language of the interviewee but if you dont understand it, are there any subtitles on the screen translated professionally and accurately into English or the language that you understand?)? (6) Do these people try to stir up verbal trouble and discomfort with the use of emotional, violent and coarse language in the video-clip? (7) Are the main points of the people true and convincing? (8) Are the core messages and the information recorded in the video-clip correct, reliable and accurate? (9) What is the tone of voice of these people? Do they try to seek sympathy and understanding from the public by speaking in a soft, slow, low-pitch, comfortable and friendly tone of voice or do they speak to us with a threatening, high-pitch, loud and warning tone of voice or any other tone of voice? (10) Did you spot out or are you able to spot out any hidden/ underlying OR obvious biases in the video-clip? (11) etc. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Because I saw the people (especially those anti-Occupy Central protesters) on the television screen becoming violent, arrogant, impolite, rude, impatient and behaviorally provocative today, young people OR pro-Occupy Central young protesters, just stay alert and stay awake! Do NOT fall into the political trap set by the political groups of any side. Before you take action, think carefully. Do NOT jump to conclusion too quickly that, if without solid and convincing evidence, which group of protesters is good and which group of anti-protesters is bad and so forth. Do NOT make lean-to-one-single-side conclusive judgment without collecting enough data and information. It also affects your emotion and your judgement as well.
