My friends!!! (Especially those that Ive met at Club Love!) Having served with GRACE and been active in the queer community for just about 5 years now, I sort of feel its my duty to act as a part of a welcoming committee for those that are new in town, but mostly for those that are newly out! So Im doing my best to promote all that is Queer in Santa Maria, and beyond. Ive just written a review for Club Loves yelp and I know that many of you likely feel the same and that Club Love is sort of like our Cheers where everybody knows your name and all of that.. Heres what I wrote about Club Love: yelp/biz/club-love-santa-maria Ive been going to club love for over 4 years now and Ive met hundreds of people and the majority have become good friends.. If youre queer, queerish, or queer friendly (over 21) and a positive person, youll have a great time.. Youll drink, youll dance, youll hook up, and / or make friends.. Queer friends.. In flipping Santa Maria, CA - which is awesome, cuz this place is really conservative and closeted.. The same staff since Ive been going and they know everyone, and love everyone.. The music is great.. Where else can you dance to Crystal Waters - Gypsie Woman, Lady Gaga, Diplo, and Rock en Espanol all in one night.. The DJs, Pablo Diablo and Janz Garcia are working the crowd and are open to requests - awesome guys.. Plus, now theyre offering 2 for 1 drinks and no cover (limited time). Ive organized and seen a few drag shows as well.. It truly is the only dedicated queer space from Ventura to San Francisco.. And thats why Club Love / The Coachman gets 5 stars from me. For doing it and doing it well. We love Club Love!
