My friends, I wanted to let you know of a very special event we are hosting with our dear friend David Whyte, on June 28, at eTown in Boulder - A Robust Vulnerability: The essence of what we are as the foundation of what we can become - bit.ly/Pemdct. Much is said in todays world about just being. But human beings have never had the luxury of choosing between an untouched and interior foundational self and the necessities and often overwhelming revelations of the outer world. We are conversational creatures who shape a real identity only at the edge between the self and the world, between the here and the there, between how we need to be and what we need to be, and especially between the ground beneath our feet and the far horizon to which we go. Join David, through the revelations of poetry and the poetic tradition, for a day long workshop looking into and experiencing some of the bold, courageous robustly vulnerable and sometimes painful steps in bringing our seemingly interior states out into the world to do, to achieve and above all to give. Tickets are available online or at the door—the space at the venue is very limited, so we encourage you to register early. There will be a 1 1/2 hour lunch break from 12:30–2pm as well as additional breaks at the discretion of the presenter. We recommend that you bring a water bottle, journal, and pen.
