My friends, We’ve done great work together to get the Unfair Elections Act amended. And now I need you to step up one more time—to protect every Canadian’s right to vote. From coast to coast to coast, you’ve put tremendous pressure on Conservative MPs through social media, e-mails and even phone calls. New Democrat MPs have grilled the Conservatives with more than 250 questions in Parliament. And we’ve put forward 100 amendments to the bill. Together, we’ve forced the Conservatives to remove some of the worst aspects of their bill—like banning vouching, muzzling the Chief Electoral Officer and allowing virtually limitless fundraising from past donors. But that’s not good enough. Passing this bill will still weaken our democracy. And that’s set to happen as soon as Tuesday night. So we’re going all-out with one final push to stop this bill—to keep big money out of politics and give Elections Canada the tools it needs to stop election fraud. How can you help? You can Tag a Tory. We have identified Conservative MPs who’ve shown pro-democracy leanings in the past. Send them a tweet or Facebook post right now.
