My friends and I have been conducting group discussions on vedic culture in our workplace, company cab, social media like whatsapp etc. We always use information from your blogs to spread awareness and create positivity, but the current generation is brainwashed to such an extent that they see everything through a westerner’s mindset. Below mentioned are few observations: a. When we talk about India’s contribution in the field of Aeronautics(our group is a mix of aero, auto and mech. Engg.) thousands of years ago, most of them feel that it was just a concept and did not exist. They ask for proof, even ridicule vaimanika Shastra… b. A Hindu Brahmin girl prefers to go to Church – she tells me that Church has peaceful atmosphere. Too much of noise in temples. She agrees that we have a rich tradition but prefers church. Root cause – she studied in a Christian School. c. A girl born and brought up in Tirupathi celebrates Christmas. She is a great devotee of Sri Venkateshwara but tells me that God is one and even more disturbing is that her entire family goes to church.(YSR influence I guess) d. Most of the girls we interacted with gave importance to job than being at home and looking after the family. e. Out of the 124 we surveyed, 98 believe that Shirdi Sai Baba is a Hindu God. (If this trend continues then I’m sure one day we will have a new religion called “Saism”…God help Bharath!) There are many more instances to highlight….. The situation was not so bad 10 years ago. One critical factor is the Invasion of foreign channels which has negatively impacted our culture and tradition. I guess it is part of a bigger plan to push our tradition to obscurity. Sir, do you think our country will transform again as a shining beacon it used to be.
