My friends, theres been something Ive been wanting to say for awhile. When it comes to government, we need to ensure GOOD people are elected - no matter what their stripes. The problem with just voting according to habit and not for the person, is that you could end up electing a lazy person of the right stripes instead of a good, hard working person. You want people in government who make great leaders or great opposition leaders. With the lay of the land right now, if we dont make sure a Liberal gets in, Calgary will have NO voice in a Liberal government. Where would Calgary be if we had NO representation in Ottawa? We need to be represented at the federal level. We need people to push for Albertas needs in ANY government and MPs who arent afraid to stand up to leaders or party policies on behalf of Albertans I am not afraid to do that: in fact, thats been my job my entire career as a journalist... not being afraid to demand answers of those in power and making sure the facts and publics wishes are known. So, to Nathan Chan who asked a very important question on my timeline, thank you for voting differently this time to support me. Not only am I happy you have confidence in me, but theres a bigger principle at stake here. Vote for a good, hard working candidate with strong values and you can never lose. Dont let labels keep you from doing the right thing.
