My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this newly opened cafe in our hood called Sophias Kitchen. Although it was our first visit, we really enjoyed the place; very open spacing with large glass windows and good vibes in general. We had the halabong citrus ade, iced Americano, carrot cake, and chocolate cake. All very good, and even better when later explained about the ingredients that went into them. Much to our surprise, its run by an English speaking Korean-American from Boston (she even has a Boston accent!) who was equally surprised to find another Korean-American walk through her doors. Anyways, she gave us a low down of her new cafe: *Uses mostly organic and local ingredients in their food n drinks. *Uses beans from local roasters, not processed stuff from abroad. *Imports organic sugar from Brazil (you can buy them in-house as well). *Holds regular bakery/cooking classes in the kitchen studio. *Strangely, has a sign that reads Heavens Door from previous owners. *And my favorite, you actually might complain that its too cold in the cafe. ☀⛄ Sophias Kitchen (not Heavens Door) 1972-2 Ido, 2-dong, Jeju City Telephone: 064-722-6126 Directions: Near Nam Gwang Middle School (sorry were still newbies) Click here for an interactive map: https://goo.gl/maps/ZQhi2
