My good fellow - Have you heard the news - A cross in the sunrise has appeared - The pope is on the way - He canceled everything today - They will be here at dusk to stay the night - They want to wake up and see the light - All the cardinals are coming as well - Their bring the Bishop and his holy water well - Their going to bless the holy ground in my back yard - And say a prayer with me as we hold arms - They will wait until dawn to see if it comes back - All the restaurants have food on the way - Their sending scallops and I ordered a side of old bay - I always wondered how to get the pope down this way - I was going to ask Jesus for a favor - But thats not how your suppose to pray - I can see me now asking Jesus to bring the pope over - Who knows though - He could answer - But Jesus came in a different way - He shined a cross in the sky on this very special day - I emailed it to the Vadican and they said they were on the way - Its not a hox or anything like that - Its real as the day is long - I was just going to skip it all and just write another song - I didnt expect the Vadican to reply - My faith is stronger than all the cardinals put together - Me and the pope think a lot alike I must say - If he had my belief then he would just stay - He wouldnt go anywhere if he had the faith I did - But hes coming anyway I guess to see if I lie - Then off again they will go to a junk yard by the shore - Their was a sighting of Jesus surfing on his feet - I guess hes trying something different for someone elses belief - Anyway Im going to email the pope back and let him know - To cancel the trip and tell the cardinals - The sunrise is really my hand - And I put the cross on their with a pen - It was fun having them believe for a short time - It gave me enough time to come up with this rhyme - But Im going down to the shore - And Im going to watch Jesus surf some more - And the pope is very happy I told the truth - And he said he would tell Jesus of my good deed - And I told the pope that wouldnt be necessary - Because Jesus came by the other day with his Mother Mary - And I thanked him for his time - But really all I wanted was to surf with Jesus before high tide - cause when I heard he was there it surprised me so - Because they were talking about showing up in Chicago - I guess they changed their minds - God does the strangest things sometimes
