My good friend - the Coasts good friend - Vern Radul was admitted to St. Marys Hospital this afternoon, where they will make him comfortable as he faces his final journey. Vern was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which had invaded the liver by the time they discovered it, and with such a poor prognosis opted to enjoy the days remaining. And he did - always with a huge smile and a joke. Vern was proud to be a member of the Alliance of Gibsons Business along with charter members Gibsons Recycling Depot and Coastal Craft. His business, Sunshine Coast Coffee News, will pass to his business partner - that would be me - who now also has custody of his cat, Magic. Vern needs Positive Thoughts, prayers, and good vibrations from his huge adoptive Sunshine Coast family. Send the love, folks; send Vern on his way with a huge, huge smile.
