My goodness such a perfect movie after a long long time which i watched its Haider although the very first news of Vishal Bhardwajs kashmirising Hamlet the play had got me convinced that its gonna be perfect but after watching it looks not only perfect but complete as well whats called a mastrpiece. From the very first scene while listening to the crows voices in the air and spotting the grey color in abundance one could feel about any tragic incidence in the making but after when mauji appeard in a red shawl amongst in all grey ones around i thought it was a mistake but afterwhile i understood that it was a clue to viewers how the character had to be of mauji a beautiful lady in the feelings of someone than her husband so young and maintained sometimes somehow inciting her own son of course unintently and being a little herself in oeidipax complex perhaps. script was as always meticulously prefect by the director written keeping in mind the sensitivities of kashmiri dialect and being Faiz Ahmed Faiz common in a disputed region salman khans following is also a fact over there journalists speak for the cruelties but when amy officer answers them it tells only the army is ruling over there the grave diggers sing fearlessly about being death so near in the region shows a fact too when winter sets in the show of horrid snow the bleaknes, grey valleys, hovering birds, cameras rolling down the same leaves full trees now standing as skeletons, a haunting sound of rabab and heart slicing Sarangi makes a music of graveyard which is always in the air to breathe in and folk songs in dogri red clothes and yellow gloves of a carefree girl the messenger and a complex and universal truth of motherhood all of these things have been made in a way which i cant describe simply but want to say perhaps Shakespeare was there in Sirinagar writing with ink of blood a tragedy in Urdu while listening to heart shivering music mixed in brooding birds voices in a numbing cold in a valley of snow covered skeleton trees where voicing and moving is easy for birds than humans, atleast this is how i found Haider.
