My gosh I love this woman! Story goes that she was given a hard time breaking in the industry because of her tone and not being considered a soprano singer! I can totally understand. But she was just in a lane of her own as we all should be! There is so much I studied from her style and learned from her flavah! I tend to stand and sing at the mic with my hands free...Im a very swaying, arms spread type performer & I looooove to move and give u EXTRA...of course I do...look at all the Queen Diva R&B singers who taught me..including this gem.
