My grandad was a Prisoner of War. He was captured and held - TopicsExpress

My grandad was a Prisoner of War. He was captured and held prisoner in the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert. He was one of the lucky ones - he survived. Many of his colleagues didnt. He developed skin cancer years later as a result of the being held prisoner in the sunlight of the desert. He suffered for our country. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago. Its to him and everybody, alive or dead, who fought for us, that Id like to say thank you for what you did. To those lost in action: we will never forget. Today I wear my poppy with pride. Im proud to be British because of what you all did. I will remember you, not just today, but for an eternity. RIP to our fallen heroes. And to all our forces past and present who remain with us: THANK YOU!
