My granddaughter is having a DAY! She in the box of my mother-in-laws jewelry...40s and 50s tacky stuff. (Not at all like the tacky stuff I wore in the 80s!) She is decked out in bracelets, rinestones, jingling all the way. She is suddenly in the kitchen with a small box. Earrings (tacky flowers with a blue center) and she cannot figure out how they go on. Yes...they are ear-screws. When I explained that I wore my grandmothers tacky ear-screws I thought they were just wonderful. Her mouth was hanging open in amazement. It just takes so little to be so happy. A box of bling, some lipstick, and pancakes. Life is good. And yes, she has them on right now.
