My grandfather, Sgt. Keating, he was a radio operator in the Regimental Headquarters Company for the 116th Regiment, 29th Division. He was at St. Lo with Major Howie and was relieved for a break right before Major Howie made the final push to St. Lo where he and the other radio operator were killed. My grandfather made it through the whole war without a scratch. He was awarded The Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster and an accommodation for good conduct. He is 95 years old and lives in Scranton, Pa.
