My grandfather returned to his Lord this morning, al hamdulillaah - TopicsExpress

My grandfather returned to his Lord this morning, al hamdulillaah with the shahaadah on his tongue. As we all sat with my dad and uncle reminiscing their good childhood memories with their beloved, I sat there searching for his legacy. What will keep his name alive while he remains lifeless in the darkness of the niche? What will bring him comfort in its loneliness, and illumination until he is raised to meet Him? We realised something amazing subhanAllah... His father, my great grandfather, had two sons, and like all parents with foresight should do, he noticed their individuality - their personalities, their strengths and gifts, and slowly nurtured them into the men they became today. His eldest son, my grandfather, wasnt too focused at school lol...he was very independent in his thinking and actions. A man of little words but many deeds. And because he was very good with his hands, his father encouraged him to work instead to the level he moved abroad for a while by himself to fulfill his ambitions, and he continued to serve his family until death. The younger of the two, my grandfathers brother, was more studious and focused lol. So his father encouraged and facilitated the memorisation of the Quran at a young age. He later went on to lead and educate his people at our local masjid in Bdesh until death took him, Rahimahullaah. I still remember waking up to his beautiful qiraat at dawn
