My grandfather used to take his grandchildren on picnics to the dikes in the Galisteo Basin. He had a great reverence for the area, especially the petroglyphs. We were not allowed to crawl on or do anything to the petroglyphs. Good memories. The photographs is posted in the galisteo.nmarcheology.org site featuring the Galisteo Basin Archeological Sites Protection Act. I dont know the name of the photographer.
