My grandmother Alma Grbavac who took care of me as a kid passed away on the 15th of aug. Her viewing will be at Franklin and downs on mchenry monday the 25th from 4 to 7pm. Her graveside funeral will be tuesday 26th at 1pm in ceres cemetery. She lived to be be 91 she worked at Stanislaus food and was the first lady to work In the warehouse with the men. When her boss told her she had to use the mens bathroom. She said fine that they had more for her to see anyway. After that he allowed her to use his bathroom. The union had asked if she would take the job to make higher paying floor jobs available to women. Also when I was about 13 I asked her to get me a drink she brought back a half full glass of warm water. I asked what is this. She said when you give your rights up and dont do it yourself ya get what your given. She was always happy and full of Life lessons for me.
