My grandmother and grandfather Black - Mary Jeanette and Hugh - TopicsExpress

My grandmother and grandfather Black - Mary Jeanette and Hugh Franklin (my dads parents). Never knew them as they both passed away before I was born. This was taken in 1908 I believe; the back of the photo says age 18 years old. They lived in Hatton when Dad was born, but in later years, my grandmother lived in Mexico on the north side of the square at 119a W. Monroe. She made handwoven carpets, to order, on her old fashioned loom which stood 6 feet high and 8 feet long, in the work room opposite the living quarters. Unfortunately, she died by this same loom in 1949. She was found hanging from a clothesline rope, from the beam of the loom. My dad was the one who found her. This was from the newspaper article I have. I would love to know if anyone has or knows of someone who has one of the carpets or rugs my grandmother made. Im sure they are probably nowhere to be found now but would love to see one or own one. I have asked several relatives that are still living, but no one knows of any.
