My grandmother still had these 1942 Fort Worth transit tokens and holder in her purse when she passed away at 90 years old two years ago. I recently removed them from the purse and put them in a cabinet where I can see them. I remember playing with these as a child. She would take the holder out of her purse and let me hold it, telling me to be careful of course and not break it. Now its mine and and I put onen of the tokens in my purse to carry in memory of her.
