My grandmother was treated for a stroke beginning in fall 2001. On February 20, 2002, she was diagnosed with ALS. Two days later she passed away. While a correct diagnosis couldnt have prevented her inevitable, incredibly painful death, the proper research and treatment could have kept her here for a little longer. How about instead of dumping ice on our heads, we strive to make a difference in the world?
