My head is rested on the window. I capture myself falling asleep. - TopicsExpress

My head is rested on the window. I capture myself falling asleep. My eyes shutting slowly, like a candle burning out. I feel, like a wave, develop in my diaphram, up my throat and pours out in a wide yawn. I clench my teeth and swallow. My eyes are watery and brown and blood-shot. Okay, I cant tell, but something tells me they look brown, which is okay. Brown is good, not so? Brown is good. Signs that I am tired like a mule. The day has been long and hectic, fun and productive. I need a nap. I need to sleep. And for now, I will take a rushed nap in this battered taxi. Head on the window. The evening traffic remains motionless. Stagnant. Claustrophobic. I stifle a blurry glare. Darkness is creeping in, covering the earth. But I will sleep. For now. My laptop bag is on my laps. I fold it in a fist. Tightly. My neighbour is a sleazy, suspicious lad. I dont trust him. He laughs quietly, like a breeze passing through dried grass. I dont trust his laughter. Yes, especially his laughter. Let me sleep. From faraway, I could feel sleep stealing me, dragging me by the collar to a world of darkness; an imitation of a world that awaits us all. Lights go off. I sleep. Dreams take shape. I wake up. And I am in Mukono. Whos around this metropolis? Come. Drinks on me. But you have to buy me a drink first.
