My heart aches today for my friends Amanda Conrad Bowles and Bradley Bowles, as today is the 3rd anniversary of the death of their sweet little boy, Joshua. I remember getting the call from Brad vividly, and I instantly knew something was wrong as soon as I heard his voice. I remember being a the funeral, and watching my husband help carry that small casket, thinking how horrible it is that a casket of that size even has to exist. My heart broke for them then, and I struggled to know what I could do for them in those days. Then, when the nightmare of child loss struck my own home, they were there for us with support and love, just listening when we needed to talk and simply being there when we needed someone. Please know that the same is here for you. If either of you need to talk, Im here. Anytime, day or night. My heart goes out to you, especially since learning firsthand what its like to walk through this land of grief. Joshua will always be remembered for the sweet, funny little boy he was, and Im glad I got to share in his too brief, but beautiful life.
