My heart bleeds for cancer patients in this country. They go through the worst form of torture anyone would imagine. The disease itself is painful but the process of management is worse. That the government doesnt show any commitment towards managing this crisis is an understatement. Who will hear their cries? Who will wipe their tears? At one time there was some sense of urgency when Anyang Nyongo & Beth Mugo were battling the condition. But it ended as soon as they were declared cancer-free. Perhaps it will take another big shot to remind the government of its responsibility. God forbid. Can you believe we have only 2 out of the required 10 machines for radiotherapy? And that the 2 are ancient models? Only 2 in entire country! Who will speak for the poor who cant access Private hospitals?
