My heart breaks whenever I hear comments from what we have as school teachers nowadays. These are academics, graduates who made teaching as careers without much corporate or industrial experience. They are not professionals who understand the meaning of performance indicators. They talk out of opinions and rank, not of logic, science and efficacy. My advice to parents is to always focus on parenting, never on content knowledge. For these blokes we pass off as teachers are very good at content but they will not be inspiring, courageous or push the kids to their limits. I give up. Enough nonsense from these academics.
