My heart goes out to the family and friends of the individual involved in the shark accident today at Byron Bay. At this time, it is important to be mindful of the time it takes for those affected to heal from such a tragic loss. It is also of great importance that we keep perspective, and let what happened today motivate us forward to implementing effective, non-lethal programs which actively work to keep both marine life and beach goers safe.
