My heart is BREAKING! I met Thomas Hinson when he was 4 years old, and I was a Junior in high school. We had a pre-K program at school, and I had a Childhood Education class. Thomas was in that class, and one of the sweetest, most well behaved children I had ever met. I lost contact with Thomas until 1999 when his mother, Cherri Hinson purchased a poodle from me (Luke). At that time I was introduced to his father, David, and his younger siblings, twins... Rob, and Rachel Hinson Youngblood. What a wonderful family! I grew to love them very much. Thomas grew up to be one of the finest men I have ever known. He was extremely smart, and could carry on an intelligent conversation about ANYTHING. He had excellent manners, and a deep voice that just held your attention. He would have made a fantastic DJ. He was always in a good mood, and never had a bad thing to say about ANYONE. Thomas brought his Miniature Schnauzer, Amos, to me to be groomed when he was home from Athens for Christmas. We shared a nice long conversation on my back porch. He was dressed sharply, as always, in slacks, and crisp white shirt with a Christmas bow tie. I told him how handsome he was, and he blushed. Thomas genuinely cared about people. It was evident in the way that he spoke. I will never forget the concern in his voice when I went through a really bad time in July of 2011. He had tears in his eyes as he asked me how I was doing, and if there was anything that he could do for me. What a great guy. What a great friend. I just cant imagine a world without Thomas in it. My heart breaks for his family. He will be greatly missed.
