My heart is absolutely aching as I offer this update to last nights post. Hari Simrans body has been found. It appears he fell while hiking, and suffered a fatal injury. It is believed that he passed instantly.* His radiant spirit will be missed so much. Please send your deepest prayers to his beloved, Ad Purkh, and to his whole family. I can not fathom what they are feeling in this moment; all I can do is offer prayers filled with light. To all the people who rallied, donated, served, searched, coordinated, communicated, and prayed, thank you. It took a village--literally--along with hundreds of social networks, a dozen media outlets, and two governments to make all of that possible. Blessings to everyone who gave of themselves. May your life be sweeter for having given Hari Simrans loved ones this precious gift. A pause. A sigh. My aching heart has more to say, and it is this: Squeeze your sweethearts a little extra today. And take this moment to acknowledge those who mean something to you. So that theyll know. So that youll know they know. So that youll never worry about what went unsaid. Time passes so quickly, and life can end in an instant. In witnessing the fragility of the human experience, things always clarify. Whats clearest for me today is that there is only now.
