My heart is bleeding today after hearing the news of little Keyannas brutal murder. We who are blessed to be mothers are taking our role as protectors much too lightly. We must understand that when we become a parent our lives are no longer ours to live as we please. We can no longer pick up strangers and bring them into our homes and expose our babies to danger! We MUST think first of our childrens safety instead of our own feelings and fantasies. I listened to the farther saying how sorry he is and who will fill the space in my heart that belonged to my little girl now?. Fathers please take your roles seriously and recognize that just as a woman cant conceive a child alone we cannot raise them alone. We need you to do your part. Pick them up from school and ensure their safety at least, because most times we are working our ass off to provide the things you are not giving. My heart is hurting and I am crying so much that I cant see straight rite now. Condolences to the family.
