My heart is breaking. A client of a woman arrsted for stealing EBT from another client just called me - afraid, in tears, worried because the arrested woman hasnt shown up for work and she hasnt had any personal care people there in over a week. She was afraid to call police in fear of retaliation by the caregiver, but has had items missing as well. I was able to convince her to let me send police to her home. I wish I could drive over there and comfort her myself - there is a special place in hell for people who mistreat elderly or helpless, disabled people. The poor woman couldnt reach her daughter by phone and was terrified of being alone. I know Brooklet Police Chief Mike Buchan and his crew will take care of her.
