My heart is breaking for our dear friends Tammy and James Cottrell...their youngest child, Jonah was in a terrible car crash Saturday night and is critical condition. Please pray for the total recovery of sweet Jonah. Pray for strength for his mama and daddy and older sisters as well. I know the Lord hears our prayers and you are my prayer warriors!!! Here is the post their church, McDonough Church of Christ put up about 8 hours ago: Jonah Cottrell was in a very serious car accident Saturday night. He was life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center where he is in ICU. He is now sedated and on a ventilator. The doctors were able to stabilize his blood pressure overnight. He has a torn aorta, broken facial bones, a broken femur (near the top of his leg), a broken rib, internal and external bruising, needed 60 stitches in his face, and several other issues. The first thing that needs to be repaired is the aorta, which they hope to do once he is stable enough. This will be done like a stent procedure (going up through his groin and through his heart.) This is to repair the tear. His lungs collapsed yesterday so he has several chest tubes. They are keeping him sedated to keep him still so that his body can rest and heal. Please pray for Jonah. He has a long way to go. Pray for his parents, James & Tammy. They were able to get some rest last night, but they need strength and encouragement. And pray for Jonah’s sisters, Becca & Alex and their families. I will update with information as I have it. I know that you will all be praying.
