My heart is breaking over the recent funeral poverty report what as a church are we going to do about this? Or are we just going to moan because ministers are going to get less money when some people didnt eat because they have to afford the fees that pay the minister for a relative. Why is it that Quaker Social action are having to help them fund it and negotiate it when a minister in that situation should waver the fee anyway. Why is the church more worried about the heating cost than providing the final thing we can do in love for a person and a ministry to vulnerable people. My heart is breaking that love isnt what matters but money is. My heart is breaking that I havent heard (with the exception of the Revd Ian P. Hamilton) a Methodist minister say anythingI certainly havent seen anything from Connexion. And yet people have the nerve to moan because they may lose their caravan holiday. Im sorry but my heart has been truly broken this evening
