My heart is so grateful for events like today’s Day of Prayer - TopicsExpress

My heart is so grateful for events like today’s Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. They are declarations and demonstrations of not only passionate Christian Zionism, but also a platform for inter-religious relationship. From the moment the shofar was blown to launch the program, I was held captive. Worship and prayer was released from the Mount of Olives to the majestic city of Jerusalem, which sat as a magnificent backdrop to the event. I heard the voices and testimonies of politicians, ministers of the Gospel, and greatly honored rabbis. I was also thrilled to see leaders who are so precious to my heart. Robert Stearns, the founder of the organization that led my inaugural trip to Israel and this day of intercession, led the time with such an anointed authority. Faydra Shapiro, my director from the program in which I was enrolled in this past summer in Israel, told the story of the ruins of Gamla and their heart for Jersusalem. David Nekrutman, a remarkable leader from the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding & Cooperation, aided in the blessing of a new group of intercessors for Israel. I am so indebted for their influence in my life. I also glimpsed the beautiful face of Yael Eckstein, from The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a beloved friend of my church and family. I am so incredibly grateful for the divine appointments that God has placed in my life. Each and every relationship has stretched me in immeasurable ways. We stand together. We are watchmen on the Wall. We are pioneers for Jewish-Christian relations. I stand with every fiber of my being in solidarity with Israel and its people. At the conclusion of a meeting in Jerusalem a few years ago, I found myself branded with a commission, to live as an ambassador for Israel. That moment became a turning point in my life. I have never been the same and now I move in obedience. Lord I don’t know the plans you have for my life, but I know without any shadow of doubt that Israel is a vital piece of your plan. You have engraved the land and people so deeply in my being. It is forever intertwined and embedded in my identity. Baruch Hashem. Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.~ Isaiah 62:1 https://facebook/daytopray
