My heart is so happy! Zedrick (my sheppard mix) officially is adopted tonight!!! His owner is traveling to an unexpected funeral tonight and didnt want to leave the dog behind so he wanted to wrap it up so he could have all Zedricks paperwork to allow him to travel with him. This dog has come so far. Hearing his story warmed my heart. This dog LOVES to be crated, he goes to the park every morning and loves it. This dog could not get in 30 feet of another dog without going balistic. Now, a dog can walk just 3 feet away and if his owner is there, the dog doesnt move or bark or budge. He also has 2 friends he spends time with at the park every morning, a chihuahua and a scottish terrier. He was also registered as an emotional support animal and is currently undergoing training via voice command. The fact that this dogs life was doomed amazes me. So much life to life, obedient, smart and so much potential...... NEVER EVER EVER give up on an animal. You dont know what theyve been through and sometimes all it takes is love and direction to show them they are valued. xoxoxo Go Zedrick Go!!! Happy Trails little buddy. I think I will call in to San Leandro Times and see if they want to do a story on Zedricks success and how important it is to adopt and save lives.
