My hometown is probably doomed along with the coastal area. Our town was built out of that reclaimed swamp. This is a long article, but it is worth the read. I can remember the gates he is talking about and he is right, back in the 60s, the sea water side was about a foot and a half lower than the fresh water. Now they are nearly equal, that means that the fix they made 50 years ago is about to become obsolete and a new solution will need to be found.
