My hubby was retired from the Navy recently so this Friday was our last military event which would be our last Khaki Ball for the chiefs. It was a bittersweet moment with lots of mixed emotions between ending a chapter in the military that we have known ever since we were married, but happy beginning a new chapter of the unknown. The chapter is yet ours to write... and we do suffer from a bit of writers block right now on which directions to take the new story, :) but I know it will come to us and once it does the story will unfold itself. It was a great way to have one last hooyah as Chief Berk and Chief Berks wife :) We won a hp tablet through the raffle and a few hundred dollars later that night. I got to see my hubbys mad dance skills (I had no idea that he was capable of) and even catch some on video. We will miss everyone, but we hope to still see everyone from time to time. It is hard and weird kinda of like saying goodbye to part of your family and a way of life. I cant imagine how hard it is for Clint. So thank you. We appreciate you and we pray for you everyday! Great way and an honor to end this chapter on. God is good all of the time. Even in tragedy he never takes his hand from us. He held my husband with mercy and grace and spared his life, gave him strength through recovery and uncertainty, and no doubt will guide him into his next calling. (THE END.) Here we go babe.. you ready? CHAPTER 1 - As Clint and Brandi walked away from what would be their last Khaki Ball they were stopped by a civilian, where after they would hear what she would say, they would know that it was a message from God to acknowledge all of their sacrifices, courage, and faith throughout the trails that were laid before them. They walked away happy and excited to….
