My husband and I had our Mac26 in Tampa Bay. It was too rough to raft up so we put the hook out and attempted to row to another boat for a visit. The current was very strong. We were not able to row the 25feet and found the battery dead for the electric motor. We made it back to our boat and as Tom tried to tie the dinghy to the boat he fell in the water. He must have gone over backwards for he remembers being two feet under water. I tried to row to him and the boat but was unable. I was wondering where his life vest was. It took time to inflate but did. I took a paddle off the boat and rowed close enough to throw him a rope. The current was so strong and water rough his legs went under the dink making it impossible for him to get on the dink. We floated away together. All were watching an air show so they did not immeadiately know we did board the boat. Once recognised as in nee they came to our aid and rescue. The moral of this story is Tom had on his PFD and would not be here today if he did not.
