My husband and I have planted two churches in our lifetime. One - TopicsExpress

My husband and I have planted two churches in our lifetime. One in Philadephia, PA, and one in Jacksonville, FL that we just celebrated our 30th year. We believe just as strongly in the the Apostolic message and lifestyle as the day we launched Church of Pentecost. How easy it would have been to go another way, thinking we would appeal to a larger crowd, build this church faster than we have. We were offered help to launch this church if we would leave the UPCI and become nondenominational. After praying about it, my husband said he felt strongly that God said no, and that He would be with us. Has God been unfair to require separation for us, but others are not required to be separated? God gave me a revelation in 1998 and I wrote a book called The Children of Promise. One thing that I do see is that once a person allows themselves to be offended in ANY WAY against an elder or person in authority, they open themselves up to deception. If you receive a delusion from God, youre done, unless God is merciful and opens up your understanding. Once a person takes down all fences, it is very hard to bring themselves back to understanding the reason for separation. I hope we have strong people in our church that would not let my children or anyone else that became the pastor of Church of Pentecost, change their identity or the Core Values we founded this church on.
