My husband (and by default the rest of the Tribe) quit celebrating - TopicsExpress

My husband (and by default the rest of the Tribe) quit celebrating the New Year several laps-around-the-sun ago. We used to stay up late and welcome the fresh calendar with a kiss. Back in our all-church-all-the-time days wed be in a Watchnight service, praying & worshipping as loud as anyone in Times Square. Now though, hes sent the kids to bed and is deeply involved with his pillows and quilt. So tonight, I am alone, left to contemplate... (Im not sure I should be left to myself, to think.) I am loving all your posts. Kendra posted the first Happy New Year from New Zealand, and Gary the Australian was right there too. Then came the Brits... Vicky, Jane, & Lucille. Now, my eastern time zone neighbors, like Mary & Warren are on filling facebook with photos of balloons & party hats and inspirational quotes. And those west of me are heading out to parties and get togethers. Its like the whole world is full of Hope tonight, and its silvery light is shining out of my phone. Id like to share mine too. My Hope tonight is that each of you know you are loved, treasured even... that youre important, in this world, and specifically to me. I breathe in your vibrance every day & and it lifts me, my heart, my spirit. For whatever reason I am not surrounded by family, but you have all become an integral part of my life. Thank you for sharing moments with me, the ones that encourage and amuse, that teach and comfort. It makes my own life so much more full, and challenges me to do more than just fade into the shadows. Love you. Im looking forward to tomorrow. I just cant help it.
