My husband is the only child of his parent. Upon the death of his father, his mother singlehandely raised him; he loves his mother very much. My mother in law however is a very angry woman. Angry in terms of character and constantly in arguments. Its soo bad she has fits of anger where she blinds out and stabs or hurts people. She has been in police custody more than once. Before we got married, she told me through a conversation she did not know what comes over her anytime is angry and that she only comes back to herself after committing a terrible deed and usually full of regrets. She said she had been taken to anger management classes along with prayers, but nothing seemed to work. She also told me she believed her character was hereditary and that right from her great grandparents, any woman in their family who had been named like herself was of the same character if not worse. She is a sweet woman but very quick and foul tempered. I recently gave birth to my first daughter and my husband is ecstatic for the chance to name our child after his mum. His mother just got bailed from another stabbing and she equally happy. Im scared this family name may affect my daughter; seems like a generational curse....what do I do? I have tried subtly drawing my husbands attention to this but he gets offended anytime I do. Im scared for my childs future.
