My iOS 8 Wishlist 1. Iman app with a Today widget that shows - TopicsExpress

My iOS 8 Wishlist 1. Iman app with a Today widget that shows only the time left until the next prayer. No need to display the time for all five prayers; too much clutter. 2. VSCO Cam photo filter extension. ’Nuff said. 3. Share to Instagram directly from Photos. 3. Dictionary apps to support translation from anywhere via custom actions, like what Merriam-Webster Medical did. If the Arabic dictionary apps do this… hello al-Raisuni. 4. Things app showing due items in Today view. This is in the works by the way, according to Cultured Code. 5. An app that can display custom snippets of information in the Today view, and it must be well designed. Useful to quickly access common lab values, while the housemen are being reprimanded by the specialist. 6. GoodReader as a storage provider. This will really change the way I work on iOS. 7. OCR directly from Photos app. 8. A medical calculator widget. 9. WhatsApp share extension, especially in Photos. 10. Facebook app that actually works. iOS 8 is a massive update that tackles high-hanging fruits in iOS. The walled garden suddenly has a lot of windows, but with the same promise of security. It opens up a lot of opportunities for developers that will ultimately (hopefully) benefit the end user. iOS 8 certainly excites me, but the general bugginess and the unfinished feel (reminiscence of a certain OS) that seems to plague iOS 8.0 surely irritate the general public. Let’s just hope that Apple rediscovers itself and stops trying to please the geeks and returns to doing what it does best: building a solid user experience.
