My iPhone 5s, only a year into my 2 year contract, was a Christmas casualty thanks to a scuffle between the power chord and a particularly brick-like stocking holder. Its almost totally functional despite the shatter except that the headphones input is damaged, which I use all the time. I cant replace this phone even with an upgrade option for under $350 with AT&T, and while Id be happy to join the Next program and buy a phone outright (and may have to) Im bothered that despite purchasing the phone, AT&T doesnt unlock it until the end - so youre still in the vice of a contract despite a lot more cash out of pocket. Questions: Anyone have a reliable source for used IPhones? Has anyone switched away from an iPhone to a more affordable smart phone and been happy with it? Suggestions welcome :)
