My impression after reading todays news: There is so much shouting in our world that Im not sure anyone is listening. Im startled at how quickly an informed discussion can deteriorate into a shouting match whether on a newscast, in a stadium parking lot, in the halls of Congress... or in your own living room. As soon as one person suggests a position that is counter to anothers opinion, impatience and frustration take over and rational pursuit of truth is buried under a barrage of name-calling, personal attacks and intimidation. How well we have learned from our leaders how to be disrespectful and accomplish nothing. Sadly no one wins a shouting contest... we all lose and civilization takes another step backwards. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not repay evil for evil... but live in harmony... That seems wise.
