My initial reactions were Whoa, Hold up, wait a minute...after seeing just a minute or two of he video. Id even thought to post this response to it: The church of Christ has an abundance of wonderful music that honors God and might cause us to dance but I dont think that Frankie Beverly and Maze have to provide it for us. I still feel that way but after seeing the entire video ( please view all of it) I understand what Dr. E Dewey Smith, and the Greater Travelers Rest Church was trying to do. Smith also companioned the video with an explanation that helped me rethink my initial reactions. I think that there is a message of celebration and change for those with ears to hear it. If we simply to allow our traditionalism and experiences to lock us into patterns that do not serve the kingdom objectives then we are the worse because of it.
