My intentions were to take a picture of Pastor Duffy to post on our page. I had put my camera in my pocket to remind me to do so. But, it seemed to be pulling my pants down, so to take away the likelihood of embarrassment I asked Linda to put my camera in her purse and I forgot to get the picture. You know how sometimes you meet someone and there is an immediate connection. This happened with Nathanial and me the first time we met. It’s always great when we get together by phone or in person. Linda talked about the service and I’m supposed to talk about the ministry. Our ministry is to relationships, all relationships, not just marriage, but since we started learning about hurting relationships through the failure of our marriage, we always start there by telling our story, and we have fifty years of story to tell. The heart of our survival from the hopelessness and pain of our marriage started with me on a scale in a doctor’s office wondering how much weight I had lost. It was there that I totally surrendered my marriage to God and I started asking God if He could/would change me and make me the man I needed to be. We have never told our story without seeing men and women crying because of the hopelessness of a relationship, and when we ask if anyone would like prayer that God start change in their relationship by changing them first, there is usually a large response. It’s not our prayer that moves God, it’s our humbleness. By the way, if you haven’t seen us minister, Linda and I minister side by side. I set direction and Linda interrupts.
