My jaw, tongue, teeth, and hand hate it when I have seizures, especially in my sleep, because I wake to eating my own flesh, a swollen/bruised hand, and spitting out pieces of chipped teeth. I would love to feel the freedom I once took for granted. Even though I get auras; the smell of smoke, taste of copper, deja vu, flash, wave of electrical currents, etc, it is phase one of the seizure, but a warning of convulsions, which come when they want, as quickly as they want, thats never at a convenient time for me. It can be embarrassing, but mostly horrifying for those who see it. It is bad when Walmart mgmt says, theyre going to put your picture up, w/ the caption, Seizure Lady; dont call 911. We have it under control. Also, they know your pin # to your debit card, have your son on speed dial, and hav been trained, by your cousin on how to help you. Epilepsy the silent social life bombee. It is never fun waking up not knowing, having chunks of your memory gone, being discriminated against, by family/friends, and flopping like a fish out of water. This is my cross and I will carry it by the grace and mercy of God.
