My kicks will blow you away: Akshay Kumar Akshay Kumar is back to doing what he does best, a role filled with complete entertainment. Boss, directed by Anthony DSouza and co-starring Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mithun Chakraborty and Danny Denzongpa, is a wholesome mix of action, comedy and music. Akshay says, My character is full of colour, masala, zest, but, most importantly, full of heart. I hope viewers enjoy my Haryanvi character, its a first for me. Releasing on the Bakri Eid holiday, he says this film is must-watch for families as it deals with the father-son relationship and the bond between brothers. The story will suck you in and my kicks will blow you away, adds Akshay. The film has action sequences where there were no cables used, hand-to-hand combat between Akshay and Ronit Roy and the longest Parkour sequence in Indian cinema. The funny punchlines have already caught on with the audiences, as have the numbers like Party All Night, Hum Na Tode and Har Kisi Ko. Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, adds that this film is for the masses. While we have a whole lot of urban slick heroes, there is always room for the desi hero. In a way, this film is revisiting the roots, by making cinema that our industry is so known for, he says. Boss, produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Cape of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions, releases today.
