My kids are grown and gone. I am always processing the changes that must come. Although, I am excited for them about their lives and journeys, I am dealing with emotions. .I am a woman Christmas past was filled with excitement, messes while cooking and planning what else needed to be done. This year was my first year to hang the lights outside alone. Usually, me and Tori tackled it. This year I decorated the tree alone. Krista and Justyce came over and helped me to get it stood up. I must admit that it feels off for me. I realize this sounds like WAH! poor, pitiful me. I am not alone. I know many who are going through the first Christmas alone due to a spouse dying; divorce and bitterness has crushed a few. Some people are putting on their Braveheart while dealing with a loved one with a terminal disease. I suppose the best of it is to cherish your moments. And when you feel alone and abandoned, remember when things felt sweet. The solution is go and do something nice for someone. Just because. Merry Christmas!
