My laptop finally came in the mail today after waiting for a week...just as I was about to head to work. Not really feeling great tonight, not good enough to do any major writing. Did practice with my new paint mediums last night and had a good time. If the lighting is good enough Ill try to take a picture of it with my new camera which I got specifically to take high quality pictures of artwork. Its a Nikon Coolpix S35000 with 20.1 megapixels and 7x zoom lens. Not the fanciest camera in the world. Its really tiny, but I wanted something which would be clear all the way through and not be blurry around the edges. Nina stopped my from buying this really fancy camera set with a zoom lens for 350 something and with 16 megapixels and showed me this camera which was only 70 and better quality. Ill admit I did research on the laptops which was why I ordered online because it was a better deal, but got impulsive with the camera shopping. But then I went on a mad shopping spree at Michaels and Target with the money I saved. I saved $34 at Michaels with coupons, which I left in my car so the clerk was great in giving them to me and saving me money. I am blessed. I was making a new background for a prophetic painting I will be doing at a play this Friday at the River Room. My first time for a prophetic painting for a play and have only done it a few times at church worship time, otherwise-although do it at home. So excited. I used this fiber paste, and crackle paste, and then pouring fluid on top of a lightly gessoed and scratched into collage of specialty papers and tissue paper. I love the effect. Next step with be the leveling fluid which will make it look really glossy and make the texture slightly more even, like glass with layers of things floating underneath. Love that effect.
